Popular routes for photoshoot in Batumi
In total, I have selected 10 route options for photo shoots for you: 7 of them are free locations, the other 3 are paid (due to the cost of transfer or entrance tickets). These options are suitable for you if you are counting on a 1-2 hour photo shoot and plan to hold the shooting within the city or not far from it (maximum — an hour’s drive).

How to create a custom route
I can give you some recommendations:
- Determine how much time you have on your wedding day that you can devote to a photo shoot. The minimum recommended time for a photo walk is 2 hours (excluding travel outside the city). This time is enough to calmly take pictures in 3-5 locations that are located close to each other.
- The photo session can be held either before or after the registration. Before the registration at the registry office, it is advisable to come there at least 10 minutes before the start. Consider this point when determining the number of locations if you want to hold the photo session before the registration.
- Form a route of 3-4, maximum 6 nearby locations. No more — you will get tired.
- Travel time between locations should be no more than 3-5 minutes on foot.
- Set aside at least 10-15 minutes of shooting for one location. This is the minimum time to calmly take paired shots and separate ones.
- If you want to go out of town, allow at least 2 hours for the round trip. This will be enough to get to Makhinjauri (there are heavy traffic jams in the afternoon), Gonio, Kvariati, Sarpi, Machakhela or Makhuntseti.
- If you do not have your own transport, instead of a taxi it is better to use the services of GoTrip.ge — this is a service where you can order a transfer. This is not an advertisement, but a sincere recommendation, I often recommend this service to my clients. The driver will arrive at the time you specify, pick you up, take you to the location, wait (waiting time is not limited and is included in the price) and take you back. You can immediately see the cost of the transfer on the website, and pay the driver at the end of the trip. It is very convenient.
- Any option for your route must be agreed upon with the photographer.
What if it rains?..
The probability of rain in Batumi is 50/50. The weather forecast changes at the speed of light. If it does rain on your date, we have several options:
- We take transparent umbrellas with us and take pictures with them in street locations. I have one such umbrella, and I can provide it for shooting for free.
- We are looking for indoor locations: cafes, museums (they charge extra for permission to take pictures), we can try to book a photo studio (there are several in Batumi, there will probably be a free window somewhere).
- An option for the brave: we’ll shoot right in the rain. We’ll run barefoot through puddles. The photos will turn out really cool!
If you like any of the suggested routes or have created a custom one, don’t forget to discuss it with your photographer. Check the weather forecast. Bring a change of comfortable shoes if the bride’s look requires heels. And off you go!
